The Opportunity

We are seeking a competent communicator with knowledge across a broad range of channels to support the development and execution of both internal and external communication strategies.

An autonomous role with opportunity to grow, you will be a strategic thinker and skilled copywriter, with experience of implementing clear, concise communications for a wide range of audiences and channels. You manage your own projects, and support the Communications Manager. Building relationships you will collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure brand awareness and engagement.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity operating between the hours of 8am - 5pm (one hour lunch) Monday to Friday.  

Based in North Ryde, you will be art of a Marketing Communications team that provide vital support to the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build awareness of and advocacy for the New Horizons brand internally and externally through PR, media, and other communications
  • Drive engagement across a broad range of audiences by developing inspiring, motivational marketing communications
  • Reach new audiences and position New Horizons as ‘the wellbeing experts’
  • Contribute to the development of brand assets and collateral
  • Ensure all organisational communications are on-brand, reinforce our values, points of differentiation and align with our strategic priorities
  • Identify, evaluate and report any risks or challenges that may impact the business
  • Identify areas of opportunity or improvement
  • Contribute to and support marketing initiatives
  • Actively support other areas of the business and their initiatives.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years in a marketing, communications, PR/media relations or similar role
  • Bachelor or post-graduate in relevant disciplines
  • Proven experience of contributing to communication strategies and understanding of the suitability of various channels to different audiences
  • Track record of developing/supporting marketing plans
  • Experience in developing and implementing Social Media Plans
  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of publishing and collaboration tools (WordPress, Sharepoint etc desirable)
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing and design software highly desirable.
  • Valid NSW Drivers licence and own transport
