The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Clinical Manager to lead and support a multi-disciplinary team to ensure our customers’ needs, contractual obligations and organisational objectives are achieved.

This role is fundamental in driving the New Horizons Clinical Governance Framework, and ultimately ensuring we deliver quality support to our customers. 

Working from our Lismore or Tweed Heads office, you will support teams within the Far North Coast Region. This is a full time maximum term opportunity ending June 2017, with the potential for extension.  

You will report to the Regional Customer Service Manager in our Specialist and Advisory Customer Segment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure our Specialist and Advisory (Clinical) Services meet customer needs, are individualised and of a high quality.
  • Promote and incorporate Person Centred and Recovery Oriented Approach to the Practice of your team.
  • Develop professional relationships and strategic partnerships at a senior level.
  • Lead, develop and support your team.
  • Guide and evaluate Restrictive Practices Authorisation Submissions, implementation and review
  • Promote and empower independence.

 

Skill and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar clinical manager position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for the sector and supporting vulnerable people
  • Thorough understanding of national service standards and how they translate to individualised, person centred, recovery oriented practice.
  • Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and systems for reporting
  • Experience delivering training to teams to deliver individual therapeutic interventions. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • AHPRA or relevant registration
  • Own transport and willingness to travel across the Northern NSW Region
  • Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, WWCC and first aid certificate that meet New Horizons employment criteria prior to commencing with us
