The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and driven talent engagement superstar to strategically lead the internal talent engagement function across the organisation.

Based in North Ryde, you will report to the Senior People and Culture Leader as part of the People and Culture Division. You will be responsible for end to end executive recruitment for a small portfolio of senior managers and the Executive Leadership Team. You'll also partner with the organisation to support the recruitment team with volume recruitment, manage escalated approvals and complaints, undertake monthly reporting and leas your team with supervision and coaching. The successful incumbent will love data and analytics, have the ability to think on their feet, strive for continuous improvement and undertake executive recruitment activities end to end.

This is a full time permanent opportunity. Working hours are between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. This is a great opportunity for someone who values work life balance and will  join a team who pride themselves on working hard through the day, and leaving the office on time.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage efficient and effective end to end talent engagement processes that comply with legislation, organisational policy and procedure
  • Manage talent engagement initiatives and use of external vendors within the team to ensure high levels of integrity and probity are upheld
  • Partner with Marcomms to develop and implement talent engagement strategies, for priority positions and organisational objectives in New Horizons
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships and networks with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides consultancy, advice and support to stakeholders throughout the talent engagement process, which include providing advice and guidance through open communication
  • Identify and manage strategic initiatives that promote strong employer brand in relevant labour markets and positions New Horizons as an employer of choice
  • Finalise negotiation of preferred supplier agreements
  • Establish student placement provider relationships and implement structured programs that support the business
  • Develop short term and long term strategies that meet the dynamic needs of the business
  • Provide timely evidence based reports and advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board on Talent Engagement strategies, policies and programs

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a demanding fast paced supervisory or senior talent engagement (or related) role
  • Proven intermediate ability across all Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with tailoring communication style to build effective relationships across all levels within our organisation
  • Attention to detail and an intentional commitment to deliver accurate and timely documentation/processes
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience providing solution focused advice within tight timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise Outlook and navigate Internet based platforms
  • Valid NSW Driver Licence and own transport
